Love this back binding. Very simple and interesting.
I have been working on a new blanket for my daughter ever since I realized that the one she currently has is almost see-through. I made it when she was born and it has seen thousands of washes, slept with her every night, been dragged along the ground, and has probably been lost/misplaced over 50 times only to be found under the bed or tucked away in an overnight bag. Of course I will repair that old baby blanket, but in the interim I thought it would be nice to have a stand-in.
I love this back binding and decided to make it the inspiration to the new blanket. It’s very simple and interesting and that’s what I like most about it. The colors are perfect – purple and orange together is one of my favorite combinations. I have also thought about changing the look of my daughter’s room. Now that she is in 4th grade, it is time to change the look of her room from a baby girl’s room to a big girl’s room. The colors and patterns on this blanket would make a great basis to a new room decor. Maybe the chevron pattern is the direction I will go.
