How to make Glitter Slime
Summertime means school is out and kids start hollering that they are bored! Here is a cheap and easy activity you can create that will give them hours of fun. Glitter slime is wiggly, sparkly and can be made in a rainbow of colors. Here’s how you do it:
What You Need:
1 container of Elmer’s brand Glitter Glue (any color)
1 cup and 1 tbs. water
1 tsp. borax
What You Do:
1) Add 1 tsp. borax to 1 cup of water and set aside.
2) Place the entire contents of the Elmer’s Glitter Glue to a bowl.
3) Mix 1 tbs. of water into the glue.
4) Pour the borax and water mixture into the bowl with the glue. Let the kids mix it up and be amazed. The chemical reaction of the borax and glue creates the slime as the mix. Pull the slime out before it hardens too much and set the borax and water mix to the side.
Pull the slime out, pat it dry and let the kids have a blast. If it starts getting too loose and tacky feeling, place it back in the borax and water mixture to harden some again. You can different colored batches by simply using a different color of Elmer’s Glitter Glue. Store in small containers or baby food jars.
