Housewarming Jar DIY | Oh Happy Day!
Housewarmings. There’s nothing better than celebrating the fact that someone is a new homeowner. They are so proud and excited to show friends and family where they are going to begin a new stage of their life. They always like to share all their big plans, renovations, and decorating ideas – it’s a fun time to share with them.
Usually I like to swing by the wine store and grab a nice bottle of merlot and pinot grigio to share with the new homeowners, but I have found that most people have the same idea in mind and the housewarming turns into a wine tasting party. It was at the last housewarming that I realized I needed to think of a new gift idea.
I started to think, “Why don’t I find a gift that is useful and sticks around longer than one night.” and that’s when this idea came to mind. A DIY housewarming jar! Any jar will do, but bigger, in this case, is better because you can put more items inside.
Fill the jar full of items that you know the new homeowner will need, like: scrubbers, strong bonding glue, duct tape, fun smelling hand soaps, etc.. Then tie a fancy bow around the front and you’re done!
