Chalk holder from old drawer pull.
Chalk boards at home and the office are a common sight these days. So many people homeschool and run small businesses and they make a great tool for teaching and conducting meetings. Keeping track of the chalk can be an interesting task sometimes. It seems to either get lost, broken or it’s inconvenient to pack and re-pack it back into the box after every use. Here is a simple way to store your chalk right where you need it.
What You Need:
Single cupped drawer pull
Screws and screwdriver
Chalk
What You Do:
1) Decide which corner of the chalk board would work best for storing the chalk.
2) Attach the drawer pull with the opening facing up using the necessary screws and screwdriver.
3) Line the chalk into the opening of the drawer pull facing upwards.
You can use a salvaged drawer pull from and old dresser or purchase one at a home improvement center. For a salvaged one, you can use a bit of sandpaper to smooth and paint it with any color metallic appropriate paint. Allow it to dry and attach it to the chalk board.
