Add doily pockets to an old cardigan! Cute!
If you are anything like most women you have an old cardigan that you absolutely love, but are tired of wearing because well, it’s old! Don’t throw it in the trash or donation pile just yet. How many doilies do you have lying around your house, or sitting in junk drawers?
Why not use those doilies and turn them into elegant and adorable pockets for an old cardigan? It isn’t hard at all to do so. All you simply need to do is to sew it on with a needle and thread. Of course, you can break out your sewing machine if the urge strikes, but it really isn’t necessary. Hey, but why not if you want to, right!?
Why stop there, think about other pieces of clothing you can sew old doilies on – pajamas, your daughter’s clothing, t-shirts, the list, cloth purses, the list can go on and on… don’t you agree.
If you don’t have doilies, you can pick them up fairly inexpensively at your local thrift stores, craft stores, and even at garage sales and flea markets. For more amazing ideas, follow Doitdarling on Pinterest.
