Do you have someone in your life that you find impossible to buy the perfect gift for? This neat origami money folding ring is the solution. It’s unisex, since everyone loves cash! There are a few steps, but they are pretty easy. You’ll find this so much nicer than a gift card or simply handing someone the cash. You can use any denomination you wish, but for the steps below, we’ll use a one dollar bill. We are going to show you ways to fold money as gifts.
Step 1: Begin by placing the bill right-side up and face down in front of you. You want George Washington’s head facing the table beneath you. Fold over the top white edge even along the top with the green portion. You will fold it over toward the front of the bill.
Step 2: Turn the dollar bill over. Fold the bottom edge up to meet the top and tuck it up under the flap previously folded.
Step 3: Fold it over again, but do not tuck it inside the flap this time.
Step 4: Turn the bill over and make sure that the “United States of America” is facing the right way. If you can read it, it’s right. Look over to the “1” at the left side of the bill. Fold the white portion over until it meets with the green. Fold it again just to the right of the “1.” You should have a perfectly square “1” isolated by folds.
Step 5: Curve the rest of the bill upwards.
Step 6: The right side of the bill needs folded upwards, but make the fold line right between the “o” and the “f” of the word “of” in the “United States of America.”
Step 7: Curve the bill until the isolated “1” is over the newly folded edge.
Step 8: Open up the folded “1” and then fold down the vertical running piece over that. Fold the “1” back over and tuck in the edge.
Step 9: Turn over the ring and fold the vertical length through the bottom portion of the ring, (beneath the “1”)
Step 10: Turn the ring back over and tuck the little portion left under the flap for the “1.” This may take the use of something small like a pencil end or tweezers. It’s finished!
