Any parent who has little children or active children knows the nightmare that comes when your child stains a pair of white pants. The day you purchased those pants you probably did not take this mishap into consideration. Don’t throw them away, we show you stain removal 101!
Dirt stains happen anywhere and anytime. The biggest thing to remember when removing a dirt stain is that it is truly a combination stain – dirt is made up of many types of things.
1) Gently scrape the dirt from the clothing.
2) Pretreat the dirt stain with paste that you made from powdered laundry detergent and water.
3) Wash the clothing in the hottest water possible. While washing your clothing add either Oxyclean, bleach or another type of bleaching agent to the water.
4) Once the washing is complete, verify that the stain is 100% removed before you put the clothing in the dryer. If you skip this step, there is no turning back!! The heat from the dryer sets the stain, and it can no longer be removed.
If the dirt stain is deep in the clothing, soak the clothing with the paste you made for at least a couple of hour’s or better yet overnight.
