Mop Hardwood Floors

Hardwood floors are gorgeous but sometimes mopping them can be a complete pain in the rear end. You may purchase product after product to use when mopping your hardwood floors only to find that they leave a residue, or they simply don’t get the job done correctly.

Did you know that you can mop your hardwood floors using a few ingredients you have on hand in your home?

To create a homemade solution to use for mopping floors, combine: 1 gallon of hot water, 1/2 cup vinegar, 2 tablespoons of baking soda, and a few drops of your favorite dish soap. Simply take your mop and swish the water to mix all ingredients together.

This homemade solution not only will lead to more shiny and smelling fantastic floor, but it also works well on dingy linoleum floors. It is also safe to use on most tile flooring.

I like to use the Gain dish detergent because of the added fragrance it adds to my home. We are willing to bet that you will fall in love with your homemade hardwood floor mopping solution that you’ll end up throwing away all the products you have recently purchased at a store.
