Who doesn’t enjoy a home, office or classroom that smells good? I know I am not alone in this. I am always purchasing products such as Febreze to make my home smell good. Think about it for a second – how many products on the market have “extra” aroma added just for this reason? Dish soap, laundry soap, air fresheners, etc. all are available for purchase. But, what if you are tired of making companies rich?
Next time you decide to purchase a bottle of air freshener or fabric freshener, why not make your own homemade Febreze?! Think about the money you will be saving simply by learning how to do this instead of purchasing a bottle every week or so.
Here’s how you do this:
Use an empty spray bottle (you can even use an empty Febreze bottle.) Combine 1/8 cup fabric softener, 2 T. baking soda, fill the bottle with HOT tap water and shake well. This works awesome and lasts a long time. Of course, you want to use high-quality fabric softener like Downey, Gain or Bounce.
Tip: Make sure you shake well enough to disintegrate the baking soda. Clumps of baking soda ma leave a white powdery residue on fabrics.
